John Kurtz, an old and industrious resident of Oakland, in Union township, was found dead in bed by his family Thursday morning. He came here some years ago from Pittsburg and was employed in the Baldwin & Graham foundry. He leaves a son and daughter, both of whom reside in Pittsburg. The remains were sent to the latter place for burial. The deceased was aged 79 years and had been a member of the Methodist church for many years.
