Arthur O. Johnston, 43, of 2346 Pennsylvania Ave. died at home on July 22, 1963, after a 10-month illness. Born in Giles County, TN, on April 1920 to Samuel and Charlotte Dover Johnston, he was married to the former Elinor J. Tanner. Survivors include his wife; daughters, Sondra, Charlotte, Sherry and Debra and niece Sherry Johnston all at home; sisters, Bessie Rusu of Youngstown, OH, Beulah Choco and Beatrice Fehrenbach of New Castle; brothers, William Sidney of Shippensburg, PA, Lucius of New Castle, and Leon of the U.S. Navy in Virginia. He was preceded in death by two sons, Gary in 1952 and Sidney in 1961. Interment was made in Graceland Memorial Division of Graceland Cemetery.
