Dorothy June Cameron Harper
July 9, 1929 - October 25, 2011


Mrs. Dorothy J. Harper, 82, of McCartney Hollow Rd., Fombell, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 9:40 a.m.

Dorothy was born on July 9, 1929, in New Castle, PA, to the late James Cameron and Dorothy Dock Cameron. She was married to George T. Harper Sr. on March 3, 1949 and who passed away on October 21, 2005. Dorothy graduated from Thaddeus Stephens High School in New Castle in 1946 and worked as a nurse's aide at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle for many years. She was also a lifetime member of the Ellport United Brethren in Christ Church. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends who knew and loved her.

Dorothy is survived by two sons, James C. Harper of New Castle, and George T. Harper Jr. of Elkton, OH; two daughters, Mary Diane Harper of New Castle and Mrs. Georgia Arnao of Newnan, GA; one brother, John Cameron Sr. of New Castle; two sisters, Mrs. Donna Smith and Miss Patricia Cameron, both of New Castle; five grandchildren, Joel Arnao, Matthew Arnao, Sarah Arnao, April Dawn Harper and Nathan Harper, and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Betty Joan and Ruth Virginia Cameron; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Harper; a son-in-law, Eugene Arnao, and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Smith.

Visitation for Dorothy will be on Thursday, October 27, 2011 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the SAMUEL TEOLIS FUNERAL HOME INC., 309 Spring Ave., Ellwood City.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home Inc., Ellwood City. Interment will follow at the Wurtemburg Cemetery.
