William G. GARDNER, 76, died Monday, September 9th, 1996 of congestive heart failure at Menifee Valley Medical Center in Sun City, CA. He was born in New Castle, Pa., but moved to California in 1963. He served with the Navy and later with the Army during World War II. Mr. Gardner is survived by a daughter, Patricia Schoening of Garden Grove; three sons, William of Sun City, Martin of New Castle, Pa., and Richard of Moreno Valley; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Clement "Buzz" of New Castle, Pa.; and three sisters, Marie Robertson of Sun City, Calif., Thelma Stevens and Vera Hilton, both of New Castle, Pa. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy and grandson Scott Schoening. Burial was in Riverside National Cemetery.
