Victor M. GARDNER, aged 69, of 2905 Rosedale Ave. died at home Thursday. Mr. Gardner was born in New Castle Oct. 19, 1898 to the late Victor M. And Amanda Jane Ott Gardner. He had been married 48 years to the former Elsie Cann. He was a veteran of World War I and as a member of Troop F. Cavalry, he served on the Mexican border in 1914.

Surviving are his wife; son, George V. of Roanoke, Va.; two sisters, Mrs. David Thomas of New Castle and Mrs. Theresa Whitely of Pomona, Calif. and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son John N. in 1955; and three brothers and a sister. Interment was in Oak Park Cemetery.
