On Tuesday the 9th inst., in Pontiac, Livingston county, Ill., Mr. John DeNormandie, formerly a citizen of New Castle, aged about 83 years.

The subject of the above notice was for many years a member of the Methodist church - lived and enjoyed all its privileges from the time he first espoused the cause until his death. He leaves in this section children, grand children and many relatives and friends to mourn his exit from this world - they need not mourn as they who have no hope, as he has been gathered home as a shock of corn fully ripe for the Master's use.
