35. We got finished with all the major repairs on Saturday,
October 11. There are still some stones that need to be toouched up and
Ken Murtiff and others will finish those up as time permits. I would like
to thank all those who contributed to getting the repairs done. A special
thanks to the kind hearted people who sent monetary contributions to the
borough of Huntingdon to help defray costs that Ken incurred. Also a big
thank you to Buck Rupert for everything he did to help. He sure displayed
the spirit of Huntingdon in helping us. Thanks to Mayor Foster Ulrich,
borough manager Dan Varner, borough council for their support of the
project and especially Ken Murtiff who sacrificed countless hours making
the repairs. Local establishments that donated lunches were McDonalds,
Domino's Pizza and Sheetz. You are all wonderful.
This was a challenge. Without the help of Buck and his backhoe, we would
not have been able to repair this one.
36. John and Rebecca Green may now rest in peace.
37. In case you're wondering who the guy is in the backhoe, it's Buck Rupert. He didn't want to have his picture taken but I snuck a couple in.
