Last Will and Testament of Alexander Hamilton Campbell of Uniontown Borough, Fayette County, Pennsylvania people mentioned in this will:

Sons: Benjamin Howell Campbell, Hamilton Campbell
Sisters: Mary Malvona Campbell
Executors: Alfred Howell, Esq., Mary E. Campbell
witnesses: H. Campbell, Daniel Smith


In the name of God, Amen.  I, Alexander Hamilton Campbell, M. D. of Uniontown, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, do hereby make and ordain this my last will and testament viz.: I do hereby give and bequeath all my property real and personal to my beloved wife, Mary E. Campbell to be used by her, first for the payment of my just debts and afterwards for her own support and the support and education of my two children, Benjamin Howell Campbell and Hamilton Campbell until the children arrive at full age and then to give to each as he arrives at full age such portion of the estate as she may judge sufficient for them commence business for themselves.  In the above bequeath I include also whatever may be my share of my late father estate.  In the event of the death of my two children, my wife shall have the interest o of the whole or if that is insufficient then as much of the principal as may be necessary for her maintenance in her won judgment.  In the event of the death of my wife before the children the whole shall go to the children to equally divide between them.  In the event of the death of my wife and children the whole shall go to my beloved sister Mary Malvona Campbell.  If my wife should marry again then she shall then she receive one third part of the whole and the other two third parts shall be divided equally between my said children or in case of their death said two 3 parts shall go to my sister Mary Malvona Campbell.  I do hereby constitute my wife Mary E. Campbell executor and Alfred Howell Esq., Executor of this my last will and testament and empower them to sell at any time that they may deem best any portion or the whole of my estate and authorize and empower them to make and execute my deed or deeds for the same and require them the said executor and executrix to invest the proceeds of  such sale in some productive fund for the use and purpose above specified.  In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 24 day of March A.D. 1859.

Fayette County, SS:  Be it remembered that on the 16th day of April A.D. 1859 personally appeared before me James Darby, Register for the Probate of Wills and granting of Administration letters for said County.  Daniel Smith, Esq., one of the subscribing witnesses to the last will and testament of Alexander Hamilton Campbell, M.D., dead, late of borough of Uniontown, being duly sworn according to law does declare and say that the said testator Alexander Hamilton Campbell  acknowledge in his presence he signed and sealed said last will and testament when of sound mind memory and understanding that he signed his name as a witness thereto by the request of the said testator and in his presence that he knew of no undue influence used or later will made by said testator also on the same day personally came H. Campbell, M.K. the other subscribing witness who being duly sworn according to law says that he was present and saw the said testator Alexander Hamilton Campbell sign seal and heard him decease the same to be his last will and testament when of sound mind memory and understanding that he signed said will as witness thereto by the request of the said testator and in his presence that he knew of no undue influence used or later will made.  In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal of the Registers office of said County the day and year aforesaid.
