The legend of the Holland family, is that the family, it is not known how many, were caught in a severe winter storm on a trip to or from a neighbor. Their bodies were found in the spring. They were buried where they were found along Jonathan Run, at the bottom of what is know known as Holland Hill, about 100 feet from Holland Hill Road. The burial site is at the turnaround for a hiking trail, in Ohiopyle State Park. Names are not known.
