SURNAMES: KUGLER, KLOSS

QRYTEXT: Seeking add'l information on Rebecca KUGLER, possibly the daughter of Fritz KUGLER, who was born 12 Mar 1818 in Mauch Chunk. She married about 1837 in Northampton County, to Jacob KLOSS, and died 20 Jan 1916 in Jefferson, Greene Co., IA. She is possibly the sister of John KUGLER, who according to family letters "had a wooden leg". Rebecca's supposed father, Fritz KUGLER, was said to have had a twin brother, Franz, and per some very unsubstantiated letters "was a student at Heidelberg University and compelled to leave Germany due to a bit of dueling." Fritz KUGLER's occupation in the US was cattle farming.
