THE WILL OF SAMUEL SHANER
First Husband of Mrs. Mary Kepner, Wealthiest Woman of Boyertown, Who Died

Boyertown: The will of Samuel Shaner, deceased, made Jan. 19, 1870, the first husband of Mrs. Mary Kepner, who was buried last week, directs that his widow was to have the use and benefits of his entire estate until her death, after which the one-half of the estate was to go to his 3 sisters or their descendants, and the other half to be disposed of as she would will. In this will he bequeaths $1,000, exclusive of the half of his estate. After the death of his wife, he bequeaths to Joshua Bahr or his heirs the farm house and 40 acres of land; also 1 1/2 acres of orchard, whichever he might select, for which he is to pay $1,500; after his wife's death to the trustees of the Fairview Cemetery, to keep his 2 lots in order. Mr. Bahr is also dead, and the bequest will now go to his children. Of the balance of the estate his wife was to have the half to dispose of to whom she pleased, and the other half to go to his sisters, or their children, which are as follows: Mrs. Elizabeth Daub, deceased, whose children are Samuel and Harry Daub of Pottstown. His sister Mrs. Sarah Allebach, also deceased leaves 4 heirs, one of whom is Mrs. Susan Porterfield of Venango County; sister, Mrs. Maria Bryan, deceased, having 10 heirs among whom are William, Joel, Mrs. Elizabeth Leidy, Mrs. Sarah Fisher and Samuel James, one heir Morris deceased, one heir, James Bryan, of this place. Mrs. Olivia Griesemer, deceased, 5 children; Mrs. Mary Loomis, deceased, three grandchildren and Mrs. Isabella Stauffer. L. S. Lefever took out letters of administration on Samuel Shaner's estate and will settle up the estate of both decedents
