Deed of Release

Know all men by these presents that we Jacob Mohr and Catharine his wife, late Catharine Schweitzer, Jacob Steyer, and Barbara his wife, late Barbara Schweitzer, and Peter Steffy and Susanna his wife, late Susanna Schweitzer, (the said Catharine, Barbara and Susanna being daughters of Frederick Schweitzer late of the township of Brecknock in the county of Berks dec'd) Do hereby acknowledge that we have this day and at divers other times before had and received of and from Frederick Schweitzer and Peter Schweitzer Administrators of all and singular the goods and chattels rights and credits were of the said Frederick Schweitzer deceased, sums of money, which in the agregate amount to the sum of six hundred and sixty five dollars and ten cents to each of them, that is to say, the said sum of six hundred and sixty five dollars and ten cents was received by us the said John Mohr and Catharine his wife, the like sum of six hundred and sixty five dollars and ten cents was received by us the said Jacob Styer and Barbara his wife and the said sum of six hundred and sixty five dollars and ten cents was received by us the said Peter Steffy and Susanna his wife in full satisfaction and payment of all such sums or sums of money, share or shares, purparts or dividends, which were due owing payable and belonging to us by any means whatsoever for or on account of our full share, part or dividend of the real and personal estate of the said Frederick Schweitzer dec'd and therefore we do by these presents release, acquit and forever discharge the said Frederick Schweitzer and the said Peter Schweitzer their heirs executors and administrators of and from the said share and dividend of the estate aforesaid and of and from all actions, suits, payments, accounts, reckonings, claims and demands whatsoever for or by reason thereof. Provided nevertheless that nothing herein contained be so construed as to bar us from recovering our shares in to or out of the proceeds of the real estate that falls due immediately after the decease of the widow of said dec'd. In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this twenty first day of February AD one thousand eight hundred and forty two.

Berks County, ss: Be it remembered that on the 21st day of February AD one thousand eight hundred and forty two personally appeared before me Jacob Moore & Catharine his wife, Jacob Styer & Barbara his wife & Peter Steffy & Susanna his wife & severally & respectively acknowledged the foregoing deed of Release to be their several & respective acts & deeds & hands & seals & desired that it might be recorded as such according to law. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written.

Recorded, compared and found to agree exactly the 26th day of August Anno Domini 1842.

Release of John Schweitzer

Know all men by these presents. That I John Schweitzer of Brecknock township Berks County, Pennsylva. one of the sons of Frederick Schweitzer late of Brecknock township, Berks county aforesaid deceased who died intestate. Do hereby acknowledge that I this day have had and received of and from Frederick Schweitzer and Peter Schweitzer administrators of the estate of said Frederick Schweitzer deceased the sum of six hundred sixty five dollars and ten cents in full satisfaction and payment of all such sums or sums of money, share or shares, purparts and dividends which were due owing payable and belonging me by any means whatsoever for or on account of my full share, part or dividend out of the real and personal estate of my said father deceased, excepted however of that part or share which will become due and payable out of the real estate of my said father at and immediately after the decease of Barbara Schweitzer the widow of said deceased. And therefore I the said John Schweitzer do by these presents release, acquit and discharge the said Frederick Schweitzer and Peter Schweitzer their heirs executors and administrators of and from the said share or dividend of the estate aforesaid (with the exception as before) and of and from all actions, suits, payments, accounts, reckonings, claims and demands whatever for or by reason thereof or of any other act, matter, cause or thing whatsoever in relation thereto forever. In witness I have hereunto set my hand, seal the fifth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty two 1842.

Release of Barbara Schweitzer

Know all men by these presents that I Barbara Schweitzer, widow and relict of Frederick Schweitzer, late of Brecknock township, Berks County, Pennsylvania deceased who died intestate do hereby acknowledge that I this day have had and received of and from Frederick Schweitzer and Peter Schweitzer administrators of the estate of said Friederick Schweitzer deceased the sum of twelve hundred and forty dollars and sixty five cents, in full satisfaction and payment of my one third share or part to which by law I am entitled out of the personal estate of my said deceased husband and which is due owing and payable and belonging to me by reason thereof and by any means whatsoever, for or on account of my full share part or dividend of said one third out of said personal estate. And, therefore I the said Barbara Schweitzer do by these presents release acquit and forever discharge the said Frederick Schweitzer and Peter Schweitzer their heirs executors and administrators of and from the said share dividend or one third of the estate aforesaid and of and from all actions, suits, payments, accounts, reckonings, claims and demands whatsoever for or by reason thereof or of any other act, matter, thing or cause whatsoever in relation thereto forever. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fifth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty two. 1842.
