Last Will and Testament of Samuel Wolf

1766 Lancaster County

In the Name of God Amen, I Samuel Wolf of Elizabeth Township on the County of Lancaster of province of Pennsylvania Innkeeper being weak in Body but of a Sound mind and memory Blessed be to God wherefore do this Seventeenth day of December in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty Four make and Publish this my Last Will and Testament in the manner following that is to say in the first place I order that all my Just Debts and funeral charges be paid and satisfied.

Item I give and bequeath unto the Church Warden or Elders of the Lutheran Congregation for the Time being in Warwick Township in Lancaster County the sum of five Pounds Lawful Money of Pennsylvania. To be paid by my Executors hereafter named in four years after my death for the use of the said congregation.

Item I give and bequeath unto the Elders of the Reformed Congregation for the Time being in Warwick Township in the County and province aforesaid the sum of five Pounds Lawful Money as aforesaid to be paid by my Executors in four years after my Death to and for the use of the said Reformed Congregation.

Item I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Giffe the sum of Ten pounds Lawful money as aforesaid to be paid to her in five years after my Death.

Item I give devise and bequeath unto Elizabeth my beloved wife whom I likewise constitute make and ordain my only and sole Executrix of this my Last will and Testament all the Remainder and Residue of my Estate both Real and Personal to be held by her and her Heirs and assigns forever in Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal.
