Last Will and Testament of Nathan Haas

In the Name of God, Amen, I Nathan Haas of the City of Reading, County of Berks do make and publish this, my last will and testament in the manner and form following to wit.

First: I order and direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon as conveniently can be after my decease.

Second: I devise and bequeath unto my dear wife Mary Magdaline and her heirs all my property, real personal and mixed.

Lastly: I nominate, constitute and appoint my wife as Executrix of this my last will and testament.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty second day of September AD one thousdand eight hundred and sixty nine. Signed sealed.

I declared by the testator a for his last will and testament in presence of us

On the 7th day of February A D 1887 Before me personally appeared N H Clay one of the subscribing witnesses to the forgoing will who being duly sworn according to law did dispose and say that he was present and did see and hear Nathan Haas testator sign seal publish and declare the forgoing instrument of writing as and for his last will and testament that at the time of so doing he was of sound mind memory and understanding to the best of his knowledge and belief.

Then personally appeared W.B. Stoltz and N.H. Clay who being duly sworn according to law did dispose and say that they were familiar with William Schoener one of the subscribing witnesses to the forgoing will of Nathan Haas decd and are familiar with the signature having frequently seen him write his own name as well as other matters that they carefully examined the foregoing signature and verify believe it to be in his own proper handwriting.
