Last will and Testament George Muller

In the name of the most holy Trinity Amen.

Whereas I George Muller in Windsor Township Berks County have considered the Frailty of my mortal Body whose Powers are almost exhausted by my increasing age and continual sickness although I do not yet feel any diminution or want of my sound mind and memory, yet I ordain this my last will and Testament, to be considered without exception as my very last and to be confirmed by those who I shall leave in manner following.

First I recommend my immortal Spirit into the Hands of the God from whom I received it, but my Body I give over to those who I shall leave to be by them committed to its place of Rest among those of my own Religion according to Christian usage.

Secondly I bequeath in this my Testament and will to my beloved wife Margaret for her yearly maintenance to be given to her by both my Sons George Muller Junior and Jacob Muller as follows, every year in grain four bushels of Wheat, eight bushels of Rye, of which each of my sons shall pay the half. They shall give to her one barrel & an half of cider each of them shall give to her fifty pounds of Pork and each twenty five pounds of Beef always in the killing Season. She shall also have the House in which I have hitherto lived during her live together with the Garden near it. She shall also have two whole beds and bedsteads, fifty yards of flaxen linnen, as much Household furniture as she wants, as also a chest. The one fourth of the vendue Money, both Sons shall give her a quarter of land if she desires it. The agreement which I made with both my Sons George Muller and Jacob Muller at the sale of my place concerning the yearly subsistence shall with respect to my wife Margaret be firmly kept.

Thirdly I ordain in this my Testament & will that the estate which I shall leave consisting of bonds and notes, as well as Land shall remain in the Hands of both my Sons George Muller & Jacob Muller until 1810, without Interest, whatever Land I have yet both my afore Sons shall have a right to sell any time when they shall be able.

Fourthly. I ordain in this my Testament & will that my three Sons George Muller, Jacob Muller, and John Muller shall inherit my whole Estate after Payment of Debts that yet remain or may yet come forward, but provided that my Son Jacob Muller shall have one hundred Pounds more than the two others to wit George Muller & John Muller.

Fifthly. I bequeath to my Son Philip Muller the sum of Five pounds, after the Executors have made the Account in ten years, provided any thing remains.

Sixthly. I bequeath to my Daughter Magdalena - George Kaysers wife the Sum of five pounds, when the account is made by the Executors in Ten years provided any thing remains.

Seventhly. I ordain in this my Testament and will as Executors both my Sons George Muller and Jacob Muller to adjust all the forgoing matters and make a due appraisement of my personal Estate and put the same to vendue. But shall keep the vendue money with the aforesaid bonds and notes until the account be made as aforesaid. In order that my aforesaid Testament & will may be considered as my very last one and as such be executed I do again in presence of Witnesses and being of good sound mind & memory revoke all dispositions and settlements of whatever form meaning or name they may be by me heretofore made done or written and that this only shall be received and confirmed as afore. Therefore I have signed this with my own name and sealed it with my own Seal. Done the fifth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred.
