Last Will and Testament of Mary Hartman

I Mary Hartman, of Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania, being of sound disposing mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all other and former wills by me at any time made.

  1. Item. – I direct all my just debts and funeral expense to be paid as soon after my decease as reasonably may be, by my herein named Executor.
  2. Item. – I hereby direct and authorize my Executors, herein after named, to sell all my real estate that I may die seized of, as soon as conveniently may be done after my decease, and to convey the same to the purchaser or purchasers thereof, the money arising from such sale or sales together with my outstanding moneys and residue and remainder of my estate of what kind or nature whatever the same may be, I give, devise and bequeath as follows to wit: One third part there of to my daughter Esther Marburger, or in case she should die in my lifetime, then I devise and bequeath the same to her child or children living at my decease; one third part there of to my daughter Rachel Kramer or in case she should die in my lifetime, then I devise and bequeath the same to her child or children living at my decease; one third part there of to my daughter-in-law Gertrude Hartman wife of my son Albert S. Hartman or in case she should die in my lifetime, then I devise and bequeath the same to the child or children of my son Albert S. Hartman, living at my decease.

Lastly, I nominate, constitute and appoint my son Albert S. Hartman sole executor of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I Mary Hartman, the testatrix, have to this will, written on two pages of paper, set my hand and seal this ninth day of October A.D. 1896.
