Last Will and Testament of Margaret Schmeck

In the name of God Amen. I Margaret Schmeck of the Township of Muhlenberg, County of Berks and State of Pennsylvania being of sound mind, memory and understanding do make and publish this as my last will and testament in the following Manner.

First I do order and direct that after my death they shall bury me in a Christian like manner and erect to my memory a gravestone that will cost about twenty five dollars and should the personal property be not sufficient to pay the expenses I give power and authority to my heirs to loan so much money on a judgment as will pay the expenses, on my house and lot of ground.

Second I give and devise to my son Levi Schmeck the dwelling house and lot of ground situate in said Muhlenberg Township to have and hold, occupy and possess the same for and during the term of his natural life, but without the right privilege and power to dispose of or in any way encumber the same nor shall said property or its rents or revenues at any time be liable to Levy or sale for any debt or obligation of any kind of the said Levi Schmeck.

Third after the decease of my son Levi Schmeck I give and devise the same unto my daughter Louisa Zweitzig all the above property during her natural life and after her death to her children begotten from Valentine Zweitzig or their heirs or assigns forever, after the death of the said Levi Schmeck the said Louisa Zweitzig or her legal heirs to the above house and lot of ground must bury the said Levi Schmeck and erect a grave stone out of the Real Estate.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Third day of October A.D. 1887.
