Petition of Elias Bickel proven inquest upon the estate of Joseph Bickel

Entered in Vol. 17, page 665, 1853

To the Honorable judges of the orphan court of Berks county. The petition of Elias Bickel eldest son of Joseph Bickel late of North Heidelberg township Berks county declared respectfully represents.

That the said Joseph Bickel died intestate on or about the 25th day of March ad.1853, leaving a widow Catharine Bickel and children as follows. Elias Bickel, John Bickel, Joshua Bickel, Moses Bickel, Jared Bickel, Matilda intermarried with Ernest? Rauch, Paulina intermarried with William Moyer, Catharine intermarried with Benjaimin Gehrest, and also the children of deceased daughter Leah intermarried with William Loos to wit: Jared, Sarah, Cornelius and William.

That the said intestate died seized in his demise as following described real estate all being in North Heidelberg Township Berks County. ? Plantation and tract of land containing one hundred and forty acres and allowed ? bounded by lands of John Filbert, John Druton? Joseph Erust, Christopher Koenig, Daniel Stoudt.

Another tract of land situated in the said township containing six acres and one half and allowances,being meadow land bordering land of John Dundor, Adam Halbach, John Filbert

Your petition further represents that the said heirs the following named are minors, Jared Bickel, Jared Loos and Sarah Loos.

Your petition further represents that no sale of the said estate has been had. He therefore prays your honorable court to award an inquest to make petition of the premises aforesaid to and among the children and representation of the interest of each minor and in ? proportions, as of the law of this commonwealth is directed.
