KNOW all MEN by Presents, that we Sarah Schmeck Widow and Relict of Jacob Schmeck late of Alsace Township, miller dec'd and Henry Schmeck a brother, Martin Rotheremel and Daniel Kerper Friends and all of Berks County.

Are held and firmly bound unto the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in the sum of one thousand pounds, lawful money of Pennsylvania, to be paid to the said commonwealth. To which payment well and truly to be made, we bid ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators and every of them, jointly and severally, for and in the whole, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals, dated 19th day of June Ammo Domini 1812.

THE CONDITION of the above OBLGATION is such, that if the bounded Sarah Schmeck and Henry Schmeck administrators of All and singular the goods, chattels, rights and credits of Jacob Schmeck deceased, do make or cause to be made, a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the goods, chattels, rights and credits which were of the said deceased, within said county, which have or shall come into the hands, possession or knowledge if said Sarah and Henry or into the hands, possession or knowledge of any other person or persons for them and the same so made, do exhibit or cause to be exhibited into the Register's office at Reading, in and for the county of Berks, at or before the 19th of July next; and the same goods, chattels, rights and credits, which were of the said deceased at the time of his death, or which at any time heretofore have come, or hereafter shall come to the hands, possession and knowledge of the said Sarah & Henry or of any other person or persons for them do well and truly administer according to law. And further do make or cause to be made, a true and just account, calculation or reckoning of said administration, at or before the 19th day of June in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and thirteen. And all the rest and residue which shall be found remaining upon the said administrators account, the same being first examined and allowed of by the orphan's court of the county of Berks, shall deliver and pay unto such person and persons, as the said count by its decree of sentence shall limit and appoint. And if it shall hereafter appear that any last will and testament was made by the said deceased, and executor or executors therein named do exhibit the same into the said Register's office, making request to have it allowed and approved accordingly, if the said Sarah and Henry being thereunto required, to render and deliver up the said letters of administration; approbation of such testament being first had and made in the said office. Then the above obligation to be void and of no effect, or else to be and remain in full force and virtue.

Whereas Henry Smeck acting administrator of Jacob Smeck late of Alsace Township in Berks county, yeoman deceased, hath this day filed his Account of Administration of the said Estate in the Office of Register for the Probate of Wills and Granting Letters of Administration in and for said county of Berks: THESE ARE THEREFORE TO GIVE NOTICE to all Legatees, Creditors and other Parties concerned, that the said account will be presented to an Orphans-Court, to be held at Reading in and for the county of Berks aforesaid, on Friday the Fifth day of November next, for Confirmation and Allowance agreeably to law.

The Petition of Sarah Smeck widow and relict of Jacob Smeck late of the township of Alsace in the said county, deceased,

Humbly Showeth

That your petitioners said husband left issue one child and said child to wit Samuel is a minor under fourteen years of age and hath no guardian to take care of his person and estate. Your petitioner therefore humbly prays your honors to appoint some proper person as guardian for the said child.
