In the name of God, Amen, I Henry Lies of Oley Township, in the County of Berks, in the State of Pennsylvania, yeoman, being far advanced in years, but yet of good sound mind, memory and understanding. Thanks be to God for the same. Calling unto mind the Mortality of my Body and knowing it is appointed for all Men once to die do therefore make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say.
First it is my Will and I do order that in the first place all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid and satisfied as soon as can be after my decease by my executors hereinafter mentioned.
Item I give and bequeath unto my wife Maria Barbara, all my Estate and Property whatsoever and where so ever and of which I Shall be possessed of, at the time of my decease during her natural life, and what shall remain of my said Estate as property after her decease, shall be equally divide among all my children share and share alike.
And Lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint my said wife Maria Barbara as and for sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament. Hereby making Null and void, all former and other Wills and Testaments by me made heretofore; Ratifying, allowing and confirming this and no other to be my Last Will and Testament, In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this Twenty Fifth day of December in the year of our Lord, One Thousand Eight Hundred and Three.

Signed, Sealed Published and Declared by the said Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us, who at his request, and in his presence, and the presence of each other subscribed our names here to as witnesses.

Registers Office Reading in Berks County March 6 1804 there appeared Jacob Kemp who being duly sworn and Daniel Hoch affirmed, they being the witnesses to the within written will, and did severely depose, declare and say, that they were present together and did see and hear John Henry Lies, the testator, sign, seal, publish, pronounce and declare the same writing as and for his last Will and Testament, and at the time of the doing thereof, he the Testator was of Sound Mind Memory and Understanding, to the best of their knowledge and as they verify believe, and further that the names Jacob Kemp and Daniel Hock are of their own hand writing there to subscribed in the presence of each other and in the presence of and at the Request of the Testator.
