Estate Record of Jacob Wolf (1786-1865)

And now to wit September 21, 1865 at Orphans Court held at Reading in and for Berks County Present all the judges. The Court confirm the within proceedings and valuations and it is considered and adjudged by the said Court that the same be and remain firm and stable forever and that the costs there of be paid by the parties concerned same day all parties interested to wit Isaac Wolf, William Wolf, George Wolf, Elizabeth wife of Samuel Eppihimer, Mary Ann wife of Jacob Hoffman, Samuel Wolf, John Wolf and Hannah M Geiger by her guardian Joseph Geiger appear in open Court to accept or refuse the real estate of said Jacob Wolf deceased according to the acts of assembly in such case provided whereupon Samuel L Wolf the fourth son of said deceased desires to accept if presport No. 2 of said real estate at the valuation of four thousand eight hundred and forty dollars and all the other heirs and representative of said Jacob Wolf decd being present and severally refusing to bid more for the same and severally desiring that the said real estate might be allotted to the said Samuel Wolf and the guardian Joseph Geiger also being present and refusing to bid more the Court thereupon a judge said real estate presport No.2 to said Samuel Wolf. Same day John Wolf fifth son appear in Court and desire to accept of presport No.1 at the valuation of six thousand and one hundred and forty four dollars and thirty three cents and all the other heirs & legal representatives of the said Jacob Wolf deceased being present and severally refusing to bid more for the same and severally desiring that the said real estate might be allotted to the said John Wolf and the guardian Joseph Geiger also being present and refusing to bid more. The Court thereupon adjudged said real estate to said John Wolf. Whereupon on the same day it considered and adjudged by the said Court that the said Samuel L Wolf and John Wolf upon paying or securing to be paid by recognizance to Secure to Hannah Wolf Widow of Jacob Wolf decd the interest of the net third annually during her natural life and to the other heirs and legal representatives their equal and proportional shares of the net two thirds with in one year with interest from the first day of April next and of the other third at the decease of the said widow of said deceased do hold the said real estate to them their heirs and issue forever as fully and as freely as the said Jacob Wolf Decd had and held the same in his lifetime.
