Last Will and Testament of Jacob Hartman

I Jacob Hartman, of the Township of Alsace in the County of Berks and State of Pennsylvania, do make and publish this, my last will and testament in manner and form following is to say. That nothing of my personal property shall be appraised, I give devise and bequeath all to my beloved wife Mary, all my bonds and notes and all my household stock, as well as live stock, during her life, or as long as she keeps my name. The share which my brother Valentine bequeathed to me in his last will and testament do I also bequeath to my beloved wife Mary the same as my other goods, all things left after her death shall be made into money, by my Executor and divided into equal shares between my children with the exception of Esther she shall have One Hundred Dollars less then the rest of my children. She has previously received one hundred dollars. Should any of my children die without heirs, then his or her part shall come back to the rest of my children. Witness my hand and seal this twenty eight of October A.D. one thousand eight hundred and sixty nine.

I hereby constitute and appoint my Brother Peter Hartman to be my Executor of this my last will and testament.
