Last Will and Testament of Henry Mohle

I Henry Mohle of Windsor Twp in Berks Pennsylvania Yeoman being Weak in Bodily Health, but of Sound Mind Memory and Understanding do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say;

First My Will is that all my just debts and funeral Expenses be paid out of my Estate by my Executors hereinafter named.

Secondly I give devise and bequeath to my son Conrad Mohle all that my plantation and tract of land heriditaments and appurtenances whereon I now live situate in Windsor Township in Berks County, aforesaid, bounded on the north by lands of Charles Shoemaker on the east by lands of my son Henry Mohle Junior and John Unger, on the south by land of Jacob Siedle and Phillip Snider and on the west by the river Schuylkill, containing one hundred and eighty acres be the same more or less. To have and hold the said tract of one hundred and eighty acres be the same more or less hereditaments and premises with all and singular the buildings and with their and every of their appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him my said son Conrad Mohle his Heirs and Assigns forever; (Excepting always a privilege for my son Henry Mohle to dig earth and haul away as much as may be necessary for his potting business but that the digging and hauling the same away as aforesaid he shall always dig the same on about five acres and fourteen perches of Land of the length of about twenty four perches and of the width of about fourteen perches and all the corners to be at eight angles, and they will is that the said Henry Mohle, Junior shall always do as little damage on the land as may be through which he is obliged to haul the same) I also give and devise to my said son Conrad Mohle and to his heirs and assigns forever a privilege to bring water along a small area already digged and made through apart of my said son Henry's land as is particularly mentioned and expressed and reserved in a deed from e to my said son Henry Mohle Junior. He my said son Conrad Mohle his heirs and assigns paying being at one half the labor and expense in rebuilding, supporting and maintaining the dam from whence the said water course comes, so long as him, them or any of them see fit to have use and bring the water along the said race or water course, He my said son Conrad paying out of my said plantation and tract of land, to me of I should live so long as to receive it, or to my Executors after me the sum of four hundred pounds on seven annual installments as follows, viz; the sum of fifty pounds part thereof on the first day of the fifth month next in the present year 1808, the further sum of fifty pounds thereof on the first day of the fifth month 1809, the sum of fifty pounds more thereof on the first day of the fifth month 1810, the sum of fifty pounds more thereof on the first day of the fifth month 1811, the sum of fifty pounds more thereof on the first day of the fifth month 1812, the sum of fifty pounds more thereof on the first day of the fifth month 1813, and the further sum of one hundred pounds being residuary and in full thereof on the first day of the fifth month in 1814. I also give to my said son Conrad Mohle the third part of my wearing apparel.

Thirdly I give devise and bequeath to my son Michael Mohle all that tract or piece of land, situate in Norwegian Township in Berks County aforesaid bought by e of Andrew Lythe, to have and to hold the said lot or parcel of land to him my son Michael Mohle and to his heirs and assigns forever, I also give and bequeath to y said son Michael Mohle one third part of y wearing apparel, He my said son Michael having heretofore received his proportion and full share of my estate.

Fourthly I give and bequeath the sum of twenty shillings to my son Henry Mohle Junior and also one third part of my wearing apparel, he having also had and received his full proportion or share of y Estate.

Fifthly I give and bequeath to my daughter Maudlina Wenn wife of Jacob Wenn the sum of twenty shillings and one fourth part of my late wife's wearing apparel, she having heretofore had and received her full proportion and share of my Estate.

Sixthly I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Heffner, wife or Henry Heffner, the sum of one hundred and forty pounds in lawful money current in Pennsylvania, she and her said husband having heretofore had and received of me about one hundred and sixty pounds, I also give her one fourth part of my late wife's wearing apparel.

Seventhly I give and bequeath the sum of twenty one pounds and fifteen shillings, in like money as aforesaid, to my daughter Margaret Windter wife of Lodowick Windter, she and her said husband having heretofore had and received of e the sum of two hundred and twenty eight pounds five shillings, one fourth part of my late wife's wearing apparel.

Eighthly I give and bequeath the sum of one hundred and fifty six pounds in like money as aforesaid to my daughter Katherine Heffner wife of Anthony Heffner, she having had and received of me heretofore the sum of one hundred and forty four pounds and one forth part of my late wife's wearing apparel.

Ninthly I give and bequeath the sum of one hundred pounds to the children of my daughter Maria Seyler, which is my will is shall be put out on interest when my son Conrad Mohle pays the sum of one hundred pound in the year 1814 and aforesaid and that the principal and interest be equally divided between and paid to them, when they respectfully arrive to twenty one years of age.

Tenthly as touching all the rest and residue of my estate, not by me already disposed of; My will is that shall be equally divided amongst and paid to son Michael Mohle, to my four daughters, Maudlina Wenn, Elizabeth Heffner, Margaret Windter, Katherine Heffner and to the children of my daughter Maria Seyler deceased, that is to say one sixth part thereof to my two grandchildren which my will shall be first out on interest as soon as collected, and that the principal and interest equally divided between and paid to them when they respectfully arrive to twenty one years of age.

And lastly I hereby nominate constitute and appoint my son Henry Mohle and my two sons in law Henry Heffner and Anthony Heffner whole and sole Executors of this my last Will and Testament; hereby revoking and making void all other and former Will or Wills by me made. Ratifying and confirming this my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fourteenth day of the third month anno domini one thousand eight hundred and eight.
