Estate Record for George Heckman

In the Orphans’ Court of The County of Berks.

To the Honorable the Judges of said Court:

The petition of John A. Britton, administrator of George Heckmanm late of the City of Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania, deceased, respectfully represents:

That the said George Heckman died on or about the sixth day of April A.D. 1901, intestate, leaving to survive him a widow, and no issue. That letters of administration were in due form of law committed to John A. Britton, your petitioner, by the Register of Wills of Berks County.

That the personal estate is insufficient for the payment of the debts of said decedent, no inventory thereof being filed, but a schedule of the same, so far as it has come to the knowledge of your petitioner is appended hereto together with a schedule of all the debts of said decedent, which have come to the knowledge of your petitioner. The said schedules being marked respectively Schedules “A” and “B”.

The petitioner further represents that the said George died seized in his demesne as of fee, of and in certain real estate, situate in the City of Reading, aforesaid, particularly described in a statement hereto annexed, marked schedule “C”.

The petitioner therefore prays the Court to award an order of sale for the sale of the said real estate for the payment of the debts of said decedent.

John A. Britton, being duly sworn, says that the statements in the foregoing petition are true: that the exhibits hereto annexed are respectively a true and perfect schedule of the personal estate of said decedent, a just and true account of all the debts of said decedent and of all the said real estate of the decedent, where so ever situated, which have come to the knowledge of the petitioner as he verily believes.
