Last Will and Testament of George Heckman

In the Name of God, Amen, I George Heckman of the Borough of Reading, County of Berks, and State of Pennsylvania, brick maker, being in perfect health sound mind me3mory and understanding blessed be the Almighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last will and testament as follows to wit; I do hereby give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Charlotte all that my personal dwelling house and lot of ground situate on Duke St and all that certain lot of ground and brickyard situate on the said borough containing about one acre to hold the same unto her during her widowhood, and after her widowhood, it is my will and I do hereby direct my Executor hereinafter named to sell my said house and one acre of ground at public sale and the money there from arising to be equally divided to and among my children their heirs and assigns, It is further my will and I do hereby order and direct my personal estate also to be sold and the money there from arising to be equally divided to and amongst my children their heirs or assigns. I do hereby empower my executor hereafter to make good sufficient deed of conveyance for the premises unto the purchasers their heirs and assigns in fee simple, and l do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my friend Henry, lately of the Borough of Reading aforesaid, Breckensher to be the sole executor of this my last will and hereby revoking all other wills and legacies by me heretofore made declaring this and no other to be my last will and Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this eleventh day of November AD one thousand and eight hundred and eight.
