Robeson 1835
In the name of God Amen, I Elizabeth Glaze of the Township of Robeson, Berks County and state of Pennsylvania. Widow, being of sound mind memory and understanding blessed be to the Almighty God for the same, but considering the uncertainty of this transitory life, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following to wit.
First of all commend mu immortal soul unto the hands of the Almighty God who give and regard my executor to be buried in a decent and Christian like manner and as to such worldly wherewith God hath blessed me in this life, I do hereby give and bequeath the same in the following manner.
Item: It is my will and I do hereby give and bequeath all my Estate real, personel of mixed, whatsoever unto my daughter Catherine now intermarried with Philip Hartz, during her natural life, that is to say the yearly arising out of my estate whatsoever during her natural life, and after her decease it is my Will that the principal sum, I hereby give and bequeath unto her lawful children, born from her body, by her late husband Christian Treat decd. I do hereby order and direct my Executor hereinafter named sell my personal estate at public vendue, and also hereby order and direct him to place all the money on interest in good and decently; and after the death of my said daughter to pay unto the same children all principal share and share alike or to the survivor of them.
And lastly I do hereby nominate and constitute my grandson Christian Treat my sole executor of this my last will and Testament and declaring this and no other to be my last will and testament hereby making null and void all former wills heretofore made.
In witness whereof I have set my hand and seal Jul 24th A.D. one thousand eight hundred and thirty five.
