Last Will and Testament of Elias Heckman

Windsor 1903

I Elias Heckman of Windsor Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania being of sound and disposing mind and memory considering the uncertainty of life being desirous to settle my worldly affairs. While I have the strength and capacity do make this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me heretofore made,

Item 1 – I direct my executor here after mentioned to sell all personal mixed and Real Estate (Property) at Public Sale for the highest amount.

Item 2 – I give and bequeath to my daughter Salome intermarried with Samuel Weidman, one share less twenty five dollars; - To my daughter Susan intermarried with Joel Yeager a full share; - To my daughter Emma intermarried with Jeremiah Miller a share less Eighty Dollars; - To my Sarah intermarried with Alfred Leibensperger a full share; - To my daughter Mary Heckman a full share; - To my daughter Lillie intermarried with Samuel Martin a share less one hundred and fifty dollars; - To my daughter Lucy Heckman a full share and fifty dollars more; - To my son Elias Heckman a full share; - To my son Jacob Heckman a full share.

I further request that Joel Yeager shall act as trustee of my daughter Sarah intermarried with Alfred Leibensperger, and Samuel Weidman as trustee of my daughter Lucy Heckman. That whenever these guardians see fit and that these daughters need. They shall assist them in their natural wants. Should U get sick and die at my home I request that fir the trouble during sickness and funeral no changes are to be made. Should any of my heirs be dissatisfied with my last will and testament and go to law. He or she shall only receive Five Dollars.

I shall appoint my said son in law Samuel Weidman as executor of this my last will and testament. Should he die, than Joel Yeager shall act in his place. Should any of my heirs prefer fail of the executor. They shall carry out their wishes. The executor for his services and trouble shall receive one hundred dollars.

In witness whereof, I, Elias Heckman have here unto set my hand and seal this Eighth Day of August A.D. Nineteen Hundred -1900.

Subscribed by the testator in presence of each of us and at the same time declared by him to us as his last will and testament. Witness our hands this Eighth Day of August A.D. Nineteen Hundred (1900).
