To the Honorable the Judges of the Orphan Court of Berks County

The Petition of Abraham DeTurk a Son of John DeTurk late of Exeter Township yeoman

Respectfully showeth

That his said father died Intestate about three months since leaving a widow named Elizabeth and issue five Children, to wit John DeTurk, your petitioner, Daniel DeTurk, Deborah intermarried with John Heffly, and Elizabeth intermarried with George Gulden, and that the Intestate died seized in his demesne as of fee of and in a Messuage Tenements and two tracts of land Situate in the Township aforesaid.

The Messuage & Tract of Land Containing One hundred & fifty Eight acres, adjoining Lands of John Ludwig, Samuel DeTurk, Michael Kern, Mordecai Lee, Jacob Thomas and John Guldin, the other Tract being wood Land Containing fifteen acres more or less adjoining lands of Jacob Bechtel, Robert Henton, John Beiler and others.

Your petitioner therefore pray the Court to award an Inquest to make Partition of the aforesaid Two Tracts of Land if Partition can thereof be made without prejudice to or spoiling the whole, otherwise to value & appraise the Same, as by Law is Directed, and he will pray. &c.
