In the name of God, Amen, I Daniel F. Ludwig of Marion Township, in the County of Berks and State of Pennsylvania, being of sound mind, memory and understanding, do make and publish this to be my last Will and Testament, in the manner following to wit:
Item: I give and bequeath unto my son James K. Ludwig and my daughter Amanda C. Ludwig, the use, occupation and income of my brick dwelling house and lot of ground with the appurtenances, situate in Stouchsburg, Berks County, during their respective lives, and after they have both died then I order and direct that said house and lot shall be sold at public sale and the money realized there from be equally divided among my remaining children. In case any of my other children shall have died, before a distribution or division of my estate is made, leaving lawful issue or heirs, then, such issue or heirs shall be entitled to their parents share.
My said son James K. Ludwig and daughter Amanda C. Ludwig shall pay all the taxes on my said house and lot and keep the same in good repair during the time they or either of them may occupy the same or have the income thereof. In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal, the tenth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four.
