Last Will and Testament of Daniel Dennis

In the name of God, Amen

I the undersigned Daniel Dennis of Douglass Township, Berks County and the state of Pennsylvania, I am, at this moment in good health. But every man will die and our Creator decides when to call us from this world. I declare here and now that I am still in full possession of my faculties and I am thanking God that I am able to make my Last Will & Testament.

In the first place, I commend my soul to the hands of the Merciful God and my body I will give to the earth.

My worldly wealth consists of a piece of land, with fence, house and barn, lying in earlier mentioned Douglass Township. It borders on fenced land belonging to [Earl?] and Samuel Brunner, and contains 2 acres and 7.5 Square yards when it is more or less correct with remaining land. All so, that after my death, my beloved wife Maria Dennis will inherit my property and order here as mentioned, my beloved wife Maria Dennis to execute my last Will and Testament to confirm her property, therefore I now undersign with my own hand and with my seal added as happened in Douglass Township on the 12th day of November in the Year of Our Lord , One Thousand, Eight hundred and Sixty-Six [1866].

Signed-- Daniel Dennis
