In the name of God Amen. I Anna Mary Sigfried of Maxatawny Township in the County of Berks & State of Pennsylvania Relict & widow of Joseph Sigfried late of said Township of Maxatawny aforesaid said Deceased. Being at this time of a sound & well disposing mind and memory (blessed be God for the same and other his Mercies and Favors conferred upon me), but calling to mind the uncertainty of this mortal life having thought fit to make this my Last Will and Testament concerning my Worldly Estate. First I do nominate and appoint my trusty and much esteemed Son Henry Sigfried of the same place to be Executor thereof. Whom I order and Do hereby fully empower to execute it in the manner following viz (to real property I have nothing to say [ ] concerning the House & Lot where I live on my Husband the said Joseph Sigfried said as his true meaning that it Shall be to and for the possession during the natural life time as well as of me as of my Daughter Catherine or During her Single State and afterwards it Shall revert & be the property of his Son Henry offered and the same also is the Will & meaning of me.) to give and pay aforehand (which is my Will) to my Daughter Magdalena the wife of Abraham Levan the half of all my wearing apparel my bed & bedstead with its appurtenances; -- To my Daughter Catherine Sigfried the other half of all my wearing-apparel, the Cow, the Stove with pipes, the Kettle, two Iron Pots, a Pan, Buckwheat cake plat all the small cups and whatever She is wanted to take from the Kitchen furniture besides the sums of Fifty pounds Lawful money. And to Daniel Sigfried the Son of my Son John the sum of nine pounds lawful money as aforesaid. All the Money which is in real Gold Equally to be Divided amongst my Sons Joseph, Henry, Jacob, Abraham, Isaac and Daniel, and Daughters Magdalena and Catherine share and share alike. – and concerning all the residue of my other Estate whatsoever (when in due course of the Law converts into cash) Equally to Divide amongst my Sons Joseph, Abraham, Isaac & Daniel and the Two Daughters Magdalena & Catherine aforesaid Share and Share alike. And that after my Decease in peace as much as possible which is my Last Will and Testament and accordingly Do give & bequeath the Same as aforesaid. Revoking all former wills by me made. In Witness Whereof I have hereunder Set my Hand & Seal this fourteenth Day of December in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred & Ninety Six. ~~~~~

Registers Office in Reading Berks County January 3 AD 1806 – There appeared Gideon Grim and John Sigfried, the subscribing Witnesses to the foregoing Will, who being duly Sworn, did declare and say that they were called on by the Testatrix to witness an instrument of writing, which instrument was the Substance how her Affairs should be settled and left after her Death, that the foregoing writing was the One she alluded to, and that they Verily believe, they saw her make her mark as above, that the name Gideon Grim and John Sigfried are their own hand writing subscribed in the presence of the Testatrix, and that they Verily believe she was of sound mind Memory and understanding to the best of their Knowledge.
