BRIEF NEWS NOTES (PENNSBURG AND EAST GREENVILLE)

Mrs. Jacob GOTTSHALL, of Fleetwood, spent Monday and Tuesday of this week visiting relatives and friends, in East Greenville.

The heavy rain on Monday night, washed out many of the terraces in front of the properties in the two towns.

Mr. and Mrs. John R. KAUFFMAN and daughter Ruth, spent several days this week at Newton, N.J. They visited the family of Mr. Kauffman's brother, Frank.

Miss Bertha RAUDENBUSH and John J. HILLEGASS, of East Greenville, visited the National Guard encampment at Perkasie, on last Sunday.

Mrs. Tillie RITTER, of Allentown, spent the week with her sons in these two boroughs.

Mark STECKEL and Frank GRABER, spent the week at Danielsville, putting up a steam heating plant there which plumber V.H. STECKEL contracted for.

Miss Emma KELCHNER, of Mertztown, who has been a domestic at the American House for some time left her employment on Tuesday. She returned to her home.

Mrs. V.H. STECKEL, of this borough, on Tuesday attended the funeral of Mrs. John STELTZ, at Green Lane.

Mr. and Mrs. Jared HOCH and family of this borough, spent Sunday with the family of Michael CARL, of near Macungie.

Mrs. J.P. SHELLY, of Philadelphia, has been visiting the family of Rev. O.F. WAAGE, of this borough, during the week.

Mrs. Annie EISENHART, of this borough, spent Tuesday in Allentown, visiting friends.

Miss Mary COOK, of Hanover, spent several days with the family of Rev. O.F. WAAGE, this week.

C.M. REED, of this borough, attended the Republican Convention at Norristown on Tuesday. He was a candidate for State Delegate.

Mrs. C.M. REED, attended the funeral of Mrs. John NICE, of Perkiomenville on Tuesday.

Dr. C.T. WAAGE and family, spent Wednesday at Perkasie. They visited Camp Egbert, where their son Eugene, was acting in the capacity of color sargeant.

Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Hillegass, of Allentown, spent Saturday and Sunday in this borough, visiting relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Warren DRESSLER, of Philadelphia, have been spending the week with the former's father, William DRESSLER, of this borough.

Mary KREUTZER, of Philadelphia, spent Sunday at the Pennsburg Hotel.
