WIDOW AND SISTER GET EQUAL SHARES

The First Distribution Under the Will of the late Judge Bruckman.

Judge Bland adjudicated the account of Carrie H. Bruckman, executor [executrix] of the estate of the late Judge George W. Bruckman, who died May 19,1897, testate and married, but without issue, leaving to survive him a widow, Carrie H. Bruckman; a sister, Caroline Bruckman, and Mary Miles, a niece, daughter of a sister who preceded him in death. The funds for distribution consist of personal estate and rents of real estate, as follows: Balance of personality, $16,569.71; rents of Court and 5th and Willow real estate, $293.55; total, $16,563.26. The Court says: "By his will the decedent bequeaths one-half of his estate to his wife, Carrie, absolutely, and the other half to his sister, Caroline, for life. No trustee has been appointed by the will to hold the one-half bequeathed to Caroline for life, and distribution of that half will be made to a trustee hereafter to be aqppointed. The only real estate of which he makes disposition are the premises 925 and 027 Penn, and as to the residue of his real estate he died intestate. From a part of the residuary real estate the rents for distribution were realized; and as the decedent died without issue, they are distributed one-half to the widow, and the other half, in equal fourths, to his heirs-in-law, Caroline Bruckman and Mary Miles." This distribution of the personality is made by the court: To "attendant at my death," John Oxenford, $159, and to the Charles Evans Cemetery Company, $200, from which the State collects $17.50 collateral inheritance tax. Of the balance, $8,201.36 goes to the widow and $s,201.35 to the trustees of Caroline Bruckman, in trust as set forth in the will of deceased. Of the rents, amounting to $292.55, the widow receives $146.73 and Miss Bruckman and Miss Miles each $73.39.

The other bequests are not to be paid until Caroline's death.
