The borough schools will be closed on Good Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Adams, sr., spent a day with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. William Bitting, at Oakbrook, the occasion being the 80th birthday anniversary of Mr. Adams.

Mr. and Mrs. George eckert and child, of Phila., and Mrs. N.R. Hunter, of Robesonia, were guests of Mr. Eckert's mother, Mrs. George J. Eckert, and family on Penn avenue.

Messrs. Klingaman and Stanley, students at F and M. College, Lancaster, called on friends here.

Visited Schools

Milton A. Gring, Treasurer of the Borough School Board, visited the schools. The pupils of the High School are taking their examinations today.

Variety Supper, April 25

The Ladies' Aid Society, of Bethany Lutheran Church, will hold a variety supper at Rajah Temple, Reading, on Saturday evening, April 25.

The Schuylkill Navigation Company will start operating its boats for the season on Friday. It is likely that the first boat will leave Port Clinnton the latter part of the week.
