Graduates From the Boyertown High School Have Formed An Association to Promote a Mutual Interest In Each Other
A meeting of graduates of the Boyertown High School was held in the High School on last Saturday evening, with a view of organizing an alumni. There was a goodly attendance and an organization was effected by electing Charles H. Sassaman, class of 1893, president; Thos. G. Gabel, 1894, Albert Leidy, 1895, and Laura Leidy, 1896, vice presidents; Alice Moyer, 1895, secretary and treasurer. A committee was appointed to draft a constitution and by-laws, and each graduate is to be sent a copy of the same. It was decided to charge a membership fee of 50 cents. It was also decided to allow all who attended the Boyertown High School at any time, to become associate members, but such members are not to have a voice in any business of the alumni. These latter are to pay a fee of 25 cents. An annual meeting will be held, and a banquet will also be given each year, after the rendering of an alumni program. There have since 1893 seventy-one graduated from the High School, of whom five are deceased. The first banquet is to be held on June 11, of this year, but owing to the short time intervening, there will be no alumni program this year. Below are the graduates since the first class in 1893.
