Summary: Petition [or Petition and Oaths or "second papers"] before the Court of Common Pleas in Reading, Berks Co. PA of Dr. Herman Benzeman to become a citizen of the United States. He is a native of Bremen, Germany and is a practitioner of medicine. It claims that Benzeman came into the United States on 18 Jun 1798. Between 18 Jun 1798 and 14 Apr 1802 he came to reside in Berks Co. PA. Therefore he has lived in the United States for 11 years.
