Bill of Sale between Deborah Reiff and John Reiff

Know all men by these presents that I Deborah Reiff of Oley Township Berks County, for and in consideration of the sum of twenty pounds in specie to me in hand paid by my son John Reiff of the same place Yeoman at and before the ensealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained sold and delivered and by these presents do bargain sell and deliver unto the said John Reiff all and singular my household goods and kitchen furniture of what kind and nature the same may be. To have and to hold the said household goods and kitchen furniture unto the said John Reiff his account on administration and assign to his and their only proper use benefit and behoof for ever. And I the said Deborah Reiff my heirs executors and administrators the said bargained premises us do the said John Reiff his executors administrators and assigns from and against all persons and persons whomever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the twenty seventh day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and one.

Berks County, ss: On the 28 day of February Anno Domini 1801 Before me Daniel Linebach (seal) Esquire one of the Justices of the Peace in and for the said county came the above named Deborah Reiff and acknowledged the above written Bill of Sale to be her act and deed and desired that the same might be recorded as such according to laws. Witness my hand and seal said day and year.
