Jacob Hart (Herth) wrote a will in 1774 in Colebrookedale Township Berks Co. Pa. According to the diary of David Shultze, Jacob died January 10, 1774 after being shot on New Year's Day. In the will he named his wife Anna Catherine and his children Jacob, John, Daniel, Elizabeth, Chrtistiana and Susannah. His step daughters were Maria Barbara Weber and Catherine Miller. Jacob and John were to share his land after paying to the other children. If they died without issue the land was to go to youngest son, Daniel Hart. By 1790 Jacob had died without issue and the land went to Daniel. Elizabeth, Christiana, Susanah and John signed releases (Deeds of Berks Co.). Elizabeth Hart was married to Jacob Mattes. Christiana Hart was married to John Bush. Susannah Hart was married to John Lesher Jr.

John Bush was the son of Jacob Bush and and his wife, Elizabeth Essig, who emigrated on the 'Princess Augusta' in 1736 and settled in New Hanover area. John was born there about 1751. He was confirmed in 1767. He married Christiana about 1772. The 1790 census shows him in Oley Twp. with 1 male over 16. 1 male under 16 and 3 females. He was a cordwainer (shoemaker). John and Christiana had a son, John Bush, who was born September 1, 1777. His baptismal sponsors at Oley Hills church were Nicholas Miller and his wife Catherine. That son married Catherine Sheeder and moved to Chester Co. Pa., where they had a family of 11 children. Some of his Essig uncles had also moved to Chester County. Nicholas Miller and Catherine were baptismal sponsors for one of these children.

John Lesher Jr. was the son of John Lesher Sr. and his wife, Maria Margaret Hess. He was born in 1763 in Berks County. He was married to Susannah Hart on April 8, 1783 by Rev. Boos at Spies Church in Alsace Township. Court records show they moved to Virginia in 1789. In 1795, Susannah died and John married Anna Maria Miller on June 25, 1795 in Shenandoah County, VA. She was the daughter of Nicholas Miller and his wife Catherine Hart who had also moved from Berks County to VA. She was born October 28, 1776. The Leshers and Millers moved on to Nelson County, Kentucky.
