GEORGE Hoffman was born 8/25/1828, in Caernarvon Township, PA.
He married Lydia Smith on March 25, 1858 in Reading ,PA. They were married by the Reverend C. F. Mc Leauley, or McCauley. Lydia was the daughter of DANIEL SMITH and CATHERINE LAMPERT.
Lydia is buried in Morgantown, Pa.
George died at the home of his first child, Anna Mary Hoffman, at Goodville, Pa. There is a large stone monument to him at the entrance of the Caernarvon Cemetery. George M. Hoffman was a stone mason.

Anna married Harry Ammon Witman, the son of Jonathan and Elizabeth Ammon Witman. Anna died in Goodville, Pa. Anna is buried at Caernarvon Cemetery in Morgantown, Pa. Harry was born in 1858 and died in Goodville June 14th, 1917.

George married Anna Elizabeth Kern (who was born November 20 1895 in Union Grove, Pa. and died January 21, 1972) on January 24, 1914, in Bridgeville Evangelical Church in East Earl Township
Lancaster County, Pa. She was the daughter of Amos Kern and Mary Cauler.
George lived with Anna in Goodville, Pa., working at Witman’s Paint and Body Shop there. He also worked at Luray Caverns in Virginia, for the car and carriage caravan exhibit in his later years, and was a township supervisor. He also worked for Autocar of Philadelphia, and was well known in his community. George is buried in Caernarvon Cemetery, Morgantown, Pa.
His wife was church-going, very fluent in the local German language dialects, spent Thanksgiving and Christmas at her parent’s farm located about a mile outside of Goodville, and wore her very long hair in a bun. They had two children:

Harry married Arabella Jean Hamilton, the daughter of Ralph and
Margeret Kohl Hamilton. Harry and Arabella married in Wernersville,
Pa., in the home of Reverend Starr, on June 28, 1941. Arabella was
born January 26, 1922. This couple had two children:
1 Darryl Gene Witman, born on September 7, 1947 at Reading
Hospital, Reading, Pa.
Darryl Gene Witman married Jody Caroline Waszkiewicz, the
daughter. of Stanley and Lorine Harpel Waszkiewicz. Jody was
Born on October 1, 1960 at Reading Hospital. Jody and Darryl
married in Flying Hills, Berks County, on December 25, 1985. They
have one child:
Kyle Darryl Witman born on March 25, 1993, at
Reading Hospital.
2. Peggy Witman, born November 5, 1952, married to Thomas
Drexler. They had:

Sarah A. born April 13, 1980 and married to Michael Shaeffer
May, 2003, at St. Johns Catholic church, Shillington, Pa.

6 Hannah Catherine Hoffman was born May 16, 1869.
7. Priscilla Kathryn/Hannah Hoffman was born 1870/71 and died
August 9, 1954. She was married to Charles O. Hahn, and they lived in
West Chester, Pa. She is named in the Obituary of her sister Daisy in
1946.
Priscilla and Charles O. Hahn had Charles O. Hahn, Jr, who lived his later years in Philadelphia. Priscilla died while visiting him. Charles Jr. married first Winifred, and second, Lola, by which he had a daughter Charlene.
8. James Franklin Hoffman was born July 14, 1872, in Joanna, Pa.
9. Louisa May Hoffman was born June 24, 1874. She married twice. Her
first marriage was to Harry Kleinsmith in 1893; her second marriage
was to James Lilley, in 1899. She is listed in the obituary of her sister
Daisy, in 1946. Louisa and James Lilley had one child: George Lilley.
10 Daisy Esther Buchanan ( George 2, John 1)was born March 30, 1883 and died in Birdsboro Pa. on September 19, 1946. She married first, Charles Buchanan, the son of John Buchanan and Margaret Stewart. He died of a stroke in the train yard of the Reading Railroad, at Coatesville, Pa. in 1936. Daisy remarried in 1938 to William Stevens.
Charles and Daisy Hoffman Buchanan had 10 children:
1 .Levi Buchanan born October 16, 1905. He married Ethel Mae Magners on 4/9/1927. He died 4/24/1966.
2. Sylvester Buchanan Born July 28, 1909, was married to Anna Yeich.
3. Duncan Buchanan died as a teenager on the Reading Railroad Line, in a train accident.
4. Anna Katherine Buchanan was born June 6, 1911 died June 9, 1994. She married twice.
Her first husband was John Henry Keehn.Jr. (John was born in 1908 to John Keehn Sr.and Ida Bickerman, and had a sister Caroline O. Keehn, born 1897, died 1968. )They married when she was 17 years old, eloping to Millville, Delaware, wed in the Church of Christ on August 5, 1928, by Reverend Charles Derrikson. The best man was John’s brother Earl and his pregnant wife, Elizabeth Lear West Keehn.
