My greatgrmother, Elizabeth Meyers Yardley, was first married to William YARDLEY. He is listed in the 1840 Census, Addison Township. I will be seeking more information about him and his family. In the 1850 Census of Ohio County, VA/WV, Elizabeth Meyers YARDLEY had four children by the name of Yardley; Rebecca Yardley age 10, Benjamin Franklin Yardley age 8; John age 5; and Barbara age 3. She is married to Augustus Green(Gruen) who was born in Germany, May 24, 1824 and came to the US about 1847. What happened to William Yardley? Were all four children born in Addison Township? The 1840 Census mentions Willian YARDLEY as between 20 and 30 years of age, one child under age 5 and one female between 20 and 30 years of age. I would appreciate if I could get more information about them while they were in Addison Township. Thank you.
