Hiles-Snow Cemetery Perry Township
Location: These two small family burial grounds are
close together on either side of the property line between
the old Hiles and Snow farms. They are in a wooded area
near the top of Hiles Hill along the Roseville Road (legislative
route 03028).
The Hiles section has several sunken
and unmarked graves with these markers:
HAGERSON,
Curtis 1847-1902 HAGERSON, Mary M. 1822-1913, w/o William
Hagerson (William, b. 5 Jul 1820, was killed in the Civil
War in Virginia 5 May 1864 and is buried in a federal cemetery
at Fredericksburg, Va., in grave #1278.) HAGERSON, Melinda
d. 18 Jul 1871, aged 20 yrs., 4 mos., 21 days HAGERSON,
Silas d. 18 May 1871, aged 22 yrs., 3 mos. HAGERSON,
William d. 11 Aug 1865, aged 10 yrs., 9 mos., s/o William
and M. Hagerson HILES, Elizabeth, b. 26 Nov 1803, d 4
Oct 1892 (She was a daughter of pioneers Isaac and Jane
Steel--see Steel-Guthrie Cemetery) HILES, Infant baby
of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Hiles HILES, Peter b. 9 Aug 1794,
d. 20 Dec 1871
ORR, Charlie d. 1 Sep 1871, aged 10
mos., 11 days, s/o L.?.& M. J. Orr He shall gather the
lambs with his arm and carry them in his bosom.
